State Holiday

The state has declared today a holiday for the installation of Tengku Mukhriz as the new Yam Tuan replacing the late Tuanku Jaafar. We had things planned for the day.

First was to send Pa's car for a paint touch up at the workshop. The bumper got a slightly deep scratch too visible to ignore. We got to the workshop before noon; Pa drove his car while Ma & I followed behind. The car had to be left at the workshop till evening, so we decided to go to Nilai3...in Ma's car.

We took the KASEH highway from Mantin and exited at Pajam for a toll of RM2.30. Its actually further using the highway but just convenient and less stops.

This is the exit at Pajam

Nilai3 was awefully quiet. Its a state holiday but it is usually packed during weekends by people from elsewhere. Quite a normal thing...locals prefer to go out of NS.

Whatdayasay...we have Eiffel Tower in Nilai3

It was lunch time and we decided to have ours at the eateries there. We had no problem at all to find a seat of our choice as the place was literally deserted. Pa and Ma ordered white rice with chicken soup and ulam. Unfortunately the soup was too hot for me. Ma has to get another palte of rice and fried fish for me. We had coconut drink to quench our thirst as it was a really hot day indeed.

My hungry look?

See what I meant by the place being deserted?

We went about Nilai3 stopping to get some accessories for the car. Ma bought herself a baju kurung. Before leaving Nilai3, we stopped by for roti canai at the mamak restaurant.

Pa was very tired and sleepy to drive; so Ma took over from Mantin. We reached the workshop in time before it closes and Pa's car was as good as new...well almost.

We were all very tired and decided to head back to Rantau. Pa followed closely behind Ma's car with me in dreamland at the backseat.

What a Monday we had.

Oh what a Sunday.

It was a relaxing Sunday for us at Rantau. Ma was a little busy with the laundry in the morning. In the meantime Pa took me out to the store nearby to get his Sunday papers. Unfortunately, it was all sold out, probably due to the budget recently announced by the PM. Instead, I got myself an ice cream and sweets.

Time really flies when you do nothing. Pa was as usual with his computer and camera...and boredom was setting in for me. I was pestering Pa & Ma to take out to Jusco which finally materialised in the evening.

Soon after Maghrib, we went out to Jusco in Ma's car. The place was slightly packed than usual for a Sunday. Most people decided to go later in the evening since Monday is a state holiday. We had to drive up to the upper floor parking as the open parking were full. Some inconsiderate drivers did double parking and even blocked the traffic flow.

We did the usual stop at the bookstore and I got myself 2 storybooks. Earlier on Pa bought Big Apple doughnut for me and I finished it in no time. Do I have an appetite today. Pa put me on one of the coin operated scale and it read 11kg. Pa thought the scale badly needs re-callibration.

Before leaving Jusco, I got a big lollipop like the one Mama gave me in Mid Valley last weekend.

Here's me and my lollipop

Its covers almost half  my face!

Thanks Pa & Ma for a great evening.

My Activity at Pa's Kampung

Nearby Wan Rembau's house there a nice place for sit around on the bench; Ma and I posed for Pa.

There is a kampung style swing and I get to play it all by myself.

Playing hide and seek with Pa & Ma

What I did on Saturday

Its an extended weekend for us in Negeri Sembilan with a public holiday on Monday in conjunction with the installation of the new Yam Tuan replacing the late Tuanku Jaafar.

Its the usual excuse to go out for the three of us...and I am smiling from ear to ear as I know they have something planned.

Pa first stopped by the site to settle some  work matters...and I get to see it for the first time.

Next we stopped by OT Mohamad restaurant. Pa had decided to pack some briyani gam to take back to Rembau. Bang Long was at kampung keeping Wan company since morning. We were soon on our way back to Pa's kampung.

Banjaran Besar in the background looking from the house compound.

...and I can't resist a kampung girl look pose.

We stayed at kampung until isyak before heading back to Rantau. Wan followed Bang Long back to Simpang Empat to stay the weekend with Mak Lang.

Sunday at Mid Valley

Last Sunday we went down to Mid Valley...on the KTM Komuter train. We had a date with Mama, Kak Long & Kak Cik. Initially, they wanted to come down to Seremban and meet at Jusco S2 but Ma thought it was better that we meet them in Mid Valley. It was more of an excuse to take me on the train I called Thomas.

We managed to catch the 11.00am train reaching Mid Valley at about 12.30pm. After messaging Mama, we went round to Metrojaya and finally ended at Dunkin Donut.

Lunch was at Pizza Hut and we had a great time there. After lunch we went window shopping. Pa took the opportunity to try out Nikon camera and super zoom lens at the Nikon exhibition. He surely missed his dear old D80.

On this occasion, I got myself a birthday gift from the Manja Clan. Thanks a lot for the puzzle Mama, Kak Long & Kak Cik.

Here's me opening my present.

My Twin at Sogo?

We were at Sogo recently...Ma's car making its first trip to the city. When in KL Jalan TAR is a must place to go.

Sogo was having its sale and we took the opportunity to catch the bargain on offer. Its also a convenient one stop for everything including having our meals there. It was a quickie trip for the 3 of us.

We returned home before midnight....taking a nice and easy drive.
